Managing type 2 diabetes or prediabetes — gum inflammation and glycaemic control interact in both directions
Cardiovascular risk factors with unexamined or untreated periodontal disease
Pregnant patients — preventive dental care in pregnancy is safe and recommended
Suspected sleep-disordered breathing, bruxism, or airway concerns; oral appliance candidates
Persistent systemic inflammation where an oral source hasn’t been ruled out

Full periodontal charting and clinical exam
Live phase contrast microscopy of the patient’s plaque — periodontal & systemic risk profile
Fida Labs comprehensive periodontal pathogen report when in-office findings show moderate/high risk
Radiographs and iTero digital scan
Airway & bruxism assessment (diagnosis stays medical — we evaluate and refer back)
Oral cancer screening; full health and medication history

Treatment plan and rationale
Status at re-evaluation, via the channel your practice prefers
